Pollinator Hazee Delay
Pollinated repeats, endless textures.
The Pollinator Hazee Delay is a hive full of evolving delay textures. At its core, it’s a modulated delay where the repeats are shaped by either a filter or a tremolo, depending on the selected mode, allowing each repeat to bloom, shift, and evolve beeyond a traditional delay.
There are 8 modes, some run the delay forward, others in reverse. Some push the repeats an octave up, and there are even two special Queen Bee modes that unlock more experimental beehaviors.
Controls:
- Time: Manually adjusts the delay interval.
- FDBK (Feedback): Controls the number and length of the delay repeats, leading into lush self-oscillation at higher settings.
- Mix: Perfectly balances the dry and wet signal from 100% dry to 100% fully wet.
- Mod (Modulation): Controls the speed and intensity of the built-in filters or tremolos affecting the wet repeats.
- Mode Selector: An 8-way center rotary dial used to choose the foundational texturing block.
The 8 Textural Modes:
Filter Modulation Hemisphere (FILTER Side):
- Mode 1: Filter + Forward Repeats — Classic warm, moving delay paths filtered over time.
- Mode 2 (Queen Bee Mode): Filter + Forward Octave Up — Double-speed buffer reading that produces octave-up rhythms. Turning the Time knob past noon dynamically blends the original signal with the octave layer.
- Mode 3: Filter + Reverse Repeats — Textural backwards-running echoes washed in filter sweeps.
- Mode 4: Filter + Reverse Octave Up — Shimmering, reverse textures shifting an octave above your fundamental notes.
Tremolo Modulation Hemisphere (TREM Side):
- Mode 5: Tremolo + Reverse Octave Up — Rhythmic, pulsing volume chops laid over reverse octave shimmers.
- Mode 6: Tremolo + Reverse Repeats — Moody, stuttering volume dips applied to backwards-running echoes.
- Mode 7 (Queen Bee Mode): Tremolo + Forward Octave Up — Double-speed buffer reading with dynamic, chopped-up volume tremolo that reacts heavily to picking dynamics.
- Mode 8: Tremolo + Forward Repeats — Traditional delay trails layered with warbly, pulsating tremolo movements.
