TREMINATOR
Analog Tremolo

The TREMINATOR brings the power of a Voltage Controlled Amplifier (VCA) from synthesizers into a highly expressive tremolo effect pedal. Combining a wide-range LFO (20 seconds to 220Hz) with two envelope generators for dynamic control, TREMINATOR allows for intricate modulation and evolving tremolo effects.

At the heart of every synthesizer lies the VCA—the final stage where raw, unfiltered sound bursts to life. TREMINATOR taps into this core, offering a deep dive into evolving, dynamic soundscapes, where every pulse becomes a part of your performance—alive, breathing, and constantly shifting. It’s not just an effect—it’s an experience.

Features:

  • Analog VCA circuit for authentic, smooth tremolo sounds
  • Wide-range LFO from 20 seconds to 220Hz
  • Tap tempo with multiple division settings
  • Two envelope generators to shape LFO behavior
  • 3 patch points for integration with modular and CV gear

Controls:

1. RATE - Sets the LFO oscillation speed manually.
2. SHAPE - Switches between 5 distinct LFO waveforms.
3. FADE - Sets studio-style fade-in or fade-out times for the tremolo depth.
4. DEPTH - Adjusts the overall intensity of the tremolo effect.
5. DIV Switch - Sets tap tempo subdivisions or multiplier values (x1, x3, x4).

Secondary Controls:

These are the SHIFT controls, that you can access while holding down the ON button. Remember, in order to store this so that the pedal remembers them the next time you power it, you must press and hold both footswitches for 3 seconds!

1. RATE = THRESHOLD - Controls the signal to gate function. For more info about signal to gate, check the “FADE AND EXPRESSION” chapter.
2. SHAPE = RESET - This controls if the Waveform of the LFO will be reset whenever a signal to gate appears. When at 0-49% sets the LFO waveform reset OFF. At 50-100% sets the LFO waveform reset ON. For more info about LFO waveform reset check the “FADE AND EXPRESSION” chapter.
3. FADE = RATE EXPRESSION - This acts as the LFO speedup (0-49%), or slowdown function (51-100%). At 50% travel this is set to off. For more info about speed expression check the “FADE AND EXPRESSION” chapter.
4. DEPTH = RATE EXPRESSION - AMOUNT Sets the amount of speedup/slowdown. For more info about speed expression check the “FADE AND EXPRESSION” chapter.
5. DIV toggle switch - Extra divisions over the LFO rate. Its x1 , x2 , x4. Those are multiplied to the main DIV selection, allowing for many combinations and up to a x16 multiply over the rate control.
