Ever since French oak became part of our tonewood selection, we have loved working with it.
It is a wonderfully colourful wood, sometimes striped, flamed or wildly figured, with every single piece revealing the beauty and individuality of nature.
Tonally, oak produces a complex and rich sound that is reminiscent of rosewood, but with slightly less emphasis on the bass. This makes it ideal for studio and stage situations where you need a guitar that is clearly present without taking over.
Visually, the figured thermo-spruce top blends beautifully with the oak back and sides, elegantly outlined by the smoked oak bindings.
