the CCC 9/15 Combining the versatility of our CJ 11 preamp with the dual 6V6/EL84 power section of the JRT 9/15, the CCC 9/15 delivers an impressive range of classic tones inspired by low wattage U.S. and UK designs pioneered in 1950s and 60s. Inspired by the iconic 1950s-era 1×12 tweed combo, which features a single tone control limited to treble frequencies, the CCC 9/15 preamp takes it further with both treble and bass filters, along with a master volume and boost circuit.

The added bass control allows for fine-tuning of lower frequencies, enhancing clarity and increasing headroom when the amp is driven into saturation, which is crucial for lower-wattage circuits used at live performance levels. The inclusion of a master volume and boost enables the CCC 9/15 to deliver a wide range of drive tones, from a subtle edge-of-breakup to moderate overdrive and full saturation, all at manageable volumes while retaining touch sensitivity and sonic integrity.
