TONE BONE contains selected EL84 tubes and English and German instructions.
TONE BONE is an adapter that replaces the end tubes of the tube amplifier 6L6GC, 5881, EL34 or 6V6GT into EL84 tubes that work in class A. The adapter can be connected to the amplifier without any adjustments or changes. TONE BONE lowers the power of the amplifier, making it easier to drive it into distortion.

TONE, TONE, TONE
How TONE BONE affects the operation of your amplifier: The sound of an amplifier operating in class A could best be compared to the VOX AC30. The sound becomes more vivid, the response speed of the amplifier improves. Other features include improved sustain and the growth of even harmonics with distortion sound. The available output power also decreases. So the more the volume is increased, the easier the sound is to crumble.
PENTODE or TRIODE version?
TONE BONE is available in both pentode and triode versions. Both versions work and thus provide similar benefits. The differences are as follows: The pentode version preserves more of the amplifier's own sound, while the triode version improves the linearity of the amplifier but accelerates compression and saturation. Triodiversio softens the sound more and drops the output power more, approx. 8W if one pair of tubes is used.
PLUG & PLAY - How does the installation take place?
Close the amplifier, remove the end tubes and replace them with TONE BONE adapters with EL84 tubes. Turn on the power and the installation is complete!
Size: TONE BONE height (excluding adapter pins) is 12cm, of which 5cm is adapter height. It is recommended that there be about a centimeter of free space between the EL84 tube and the amplifier housing due to cooling and installation.
TONE BONE is self-adjusting. No adjustments or mods are needed. Since the bias of the amplifier is not adjusted, the original power tubes can be replaced at any time.

POWER The output power of the amplifier depends on which version is used:
Pentode: 7 - 9 Watt per adapter, 14 - 18 Watt per pair
Triode: 4 - 5 Watt per adapter, 8 - 10 Watt per pair
Eg: 100W amplifier with four 6L6GC, 5881 or EL34 saturates with about 100W output power. TONE BONE drops power as follows:
A 100-Watt amp with 4 6L6GC, 5881 or EL34 would saturate usually at 100W RMS power output. With TONE BONE? converters it saturates at:
Pentode version: 4 adapters, power approx. 32W, per pair approx. 16W
Triode version: 4 adapters, power approx. 18 W, per pair approx. 9 W
