AER AMP TWO
Electric Bass Amplifier
This series has been specially developed for the modern bass player who values performance, versatility and easy handling. The speaker equipment of the amp two aims for a straight and linear „HiFi-like“ sound reproduction, yet possessing enough punch for an outstanding stage performance. The 12“-speaker produces rich and true lows whilst the 4“-speaker creates very smooth highs. Compared to other horn/driver-combinations, this speaker configuration is clearly advantageous, thus causing increases in size and weight. The specially designed signal-chain with compressor before equalizer allows higher levels and therefore an optimal utilised capacity. amp two is professionally and richly equipped and, of course, it produces the unmistakeable AER sound character. Technically speaking, the amp two is designed for high impact and extreme dynamics. From the musical point of view, the bass combo is clear, differentiated, assertive, punchy and inspiring. Controls and connections:
Channel:
- input: Jack socket ¼" (6.35 mm)
- high/low: input sensitivity switch, attenuator: up= not active, down= active
- gain: Input level control
- clip: Overload ibndicator
- mute: Channel mute switch: up= not active, down= active
Compressor:
- threshold: Control for compressor threshold, Left stop: high, Right stop: low
- ratio: Control for degree of compression, left stop: no compression right stop: maximum compression
- active: compression active mode indicator
- off/on: compressor activating switch: up= nicht aktiv down= aktiv
Equalizer:
- colour: Switch for tone colour: up= not active down= active
- bass: Bass level control
- bass boost: low frequency boost switch: up= not active, down= active
- middle: Mid level control
- freq.: Mid frequency level control
- wide/narrow: Middle bandwidth switch
- treble: Treble level control
Tone balance:
- balance: Tone balance emphasis control
- intensity: Tone balancce level control
Master:
- master: Master level control
- power: on/off status indicator
Rear side:
- line out pre/post master: switch to direct the outut signal: up= pre master , down= post master
- headphones: Output jack socket ¼" (6.35 mm) for headphones. The loudspeaker of the amplifier is switched off when this socket is used.
- line out: Preamplifier output post master and tone controls, with effects
- sub out: Sub-Ausgang, 6,3 mm Mono-Klinkenbuchse
- footswitch: Connector for a dual footswitch for muting the amp. switching the internal and external effect on/ off.Stereo jack socket, assignment: Tip = switch for internal effect Ring = switch for external effect (send / return)
- send: Output for an external, parallel effect loop in conjunction with return.
- return: Input of the external, parallel effect loop (see also send). Can also be used alone as additional input.
- insert pre / post eq: Insert pre/post eq are two more effect loop paths to loop additional external effects (filter, compressor etc.) into the signal path, either pre or post equalization.
- aux in: Auxiliary input, Stereo jack 6,35 mm socket Additional input for general sources with line level, e.g. CD player
- tuner: Output, pre master, for a tuner.
- aux level: Aux-level control
- hf level: High frequency level control
- DI pre/post eq: DI-level control up= pre , down= post effects
- DI level: DI-output level control
- DI-out: Symmetrical (XLR) DI-Out
- ground lift: Switch that disconnects signal ground from protective earth. Generally, it should stay in the off position (not pushed in).
- power on: Power on/off switch, combined with mains inlet (IEC C14 type) and compartment for mains fuse (see technical data).
