Big Muff Pi 2 with Tone Wicker
Long-lost Circuit with Expanded Tonal Options
With its signature crunch and mids-forward bark, the Big Muff 2 is a take on the long-lost Op-Amp BMP circuit from the 1970s. We’ve added two of our favorite features to expand its tonal capabilities in the Big Muff Pi 2 with Tone Wicker. Expanded top-end and a full-range fuzz make for even more unique muff tones.
Built around the original Big Muff Pi 2 circuit, the pedal has the singing sustain and massive amounts of gain while occupying its very own voice, which sets it apart from the classic Big Muff Pi. A familiar control set of VOL/TONE/SUSTAIN lets you tweak your sound like the original while the TONE and WICKER switches bring even more tones to the table. The TONE switch bypasses the tone knob from the circuit completely creating a full spectrum distortion. The 3-position WICKER switch opens high-frequency filters in the circuit adding two additional levels of bright and clear top-end. This is especially useful with lower TONE knob settings.
The Big Muff Pi 2 with Tone Wicker features a footswitch with Latching/Momentary Action. Click the footswitch for normal latching functionality or press and hold the footswitch of a momentary burst of fuzz mayhem!
Controls:
1. SUSTAIN - Adjusts the amount of sustain and distortion.
2. TONE - Provides a range of sounds from high treble to deep bass.
As you turn the knob clockwise the treble increases and bass decreases.
3.VOL - Sets the output level of your BMP2TW.
4.WICKER Switch - Activate Wicker mode by flipping the WICKER switch up to the
HALF or FULL positions. The HALF position adds a touch of high frequency.
The FULL position opens-up the high frequency bandwidth for a bright and clear
top end. Set the WICKER switch to OFF for the standard Big Muff Pi 2 sound.
5. TONE Switch - The TONE switch allows the user to activate the Tone knob or to
completely bypass the tone circuitry. When the TONE switch is set to the ON
position, the Tone knob is active, just like a standard Big Muff Pi 2. When the TONE
switch is set to OFF, the Tone knob, and all its circuitry, is bypassed.
