In its preamp, you’ll find four ECC83/12AX7 tubes — the tried-and-true source for warm cleans and harmonic-rich gain. Its power section houses two EL84 tubes, priming this amp head with 20 watts of venue-filling output. From glassy cleans to hard-rock riffage to complex solo lines, the E658 has the full spectrum of gain on tap. Beyond that, the Steve Morse Signature E658 includes a built-in power soak, enabling you to dial down its fury to five watts or even one watt.
